Join the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association as they help up us prepare for the upcoming solar eclipse, due to take place on Monday, August 21, 2017. The presenter will explain the various types of eclipses we encounter on Earth and will demonstrate how a solar eclipse occurs. The presentation will also explore what the eclipse will be like in our area compared to other areas and discuss how our natural environment responds during a total solar eclipse. Safe solar viewing techniques will be covered including demonstrating a variety of pinhole viewer options. Take home a handout and build your own safe solar viewer to use during the eclipse on August 21st! *Viewing glasses will be available to take home courtesy of STAR_Net. This is a family friendly event. Content is geared toward grade 4 through adults but younger children are welcome!
