The Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania presents this program designed for beginners. This lecture explains initial steps to take in starting genealogical research, what kind of information is needed and tools that provide assistance such as Family Group Record Forms, Pedigree Forms, genealogy software, repositories and online sources. Multiple examples will be offered to demonstrate record types and how they are useful to the researcher.  No registration needed.
