We will examine several actual cases from Dr. Steve’s (University of Pennsylvania, Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology) recent excavations in the vast cemeteries surrounding the Great Pyramids and Sphinx.
Did the ancient Egyptians understand human anatomy and did they practice medicine? The answer is yes. Highlights include our discovery of ancient Egyptian human skeletal remains that display the successful treatment of serious wounds, as well as direct evidence of diseases still extant in humankind today.
