Join local author Regina McIntyre (An Altar of Sod and Yesterday’s Pupils) for a nine-week short story writing workshop on Saturday mornings beginning September 9, 2017. Workshop dates are: September 9, 16, 23 & 30; October 7, 14 & 28; and November 4 & 18. The syllabus is broken out by discrete writing topics:

                1. Write what you know

                2. Story structure and plot

                3. Dialogue

                4. Scene

                5. Summary

                6. Creating tension

                7. Point of view

                8. The storyboard

                9. Revision checklist

Materials recommended include: Strunk & White's The Elements of Style, an Anthology of Short Stories, a 3-ring binder, and a supply of 4x6 and 3x5 index cards. Registration is required. Seating is limited.
