In 1911 “Alexander’s Ragtime Band” swept the world and over the next 40 years was followed by such hits as “Blue Skies”, “Cheek to Cheek”, “Easter Parade”, “Puttin’ on the Ritz” and “White Christmas” just to name a few. And let’s not forget Berlin’s musical tribute to his adopted country “God Bless America” – our second national anthem.
