Thanks to talented and effective local leadership, a cohort of tenacious volunteers, and an amazing community spirit, Historic Bristol Borough emerged from near-obscurity first out of 3,500 small towns across America to win the national Small Business Revolution-Main Street contest last February. Buoyed by its success, and bursting with renewed confidence, the Borough stands poised to move forward, to create its own opportunities and to be a model of hope for other struggling towns whose best days CAN lie ahead. In addition to addressing Bristol’s win, Bill Pezza's book also pays tribute to past civic leaders who worked to keep Bristol's head above water during the most difficult times. This discussion will highlight the book's plan of thirty action items the private-public partnership should pursue moving forward.
