SUMMER QUEST: Native American Woodland Life Skills program presented by Christine Applegate from the Museum of Indian Culture gives students from the third grade up an introduction to Lenape culture before the arrival of the Europeans. Through an interactive hands-on presentation, students explore how the Lenape used the resources and seasonal changes of the Eastern Woodlands in their housing, clothing, food, social structure, and education. By integrating the patterns of the natural world in their culture, the Lenape were able to thrive in an environment we might find hostile today. Thursday, July 20, 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration required.
