Writing a Memoir or Legacy Letter
You’ve had a fascinating and rich life, gaining wisdom and knowledge along the way. Perhaps you've toyed with the idea of writing down your stories. But you don’t know how to start or what to include—or the project seems overwhelming. In this informational session you will learn how to start a legacy letter or memoir, what to focus on, and how to develop a plan to finish it.
What are legacy letters? These letters are an updated 3,500 year old Jewish tradition. A legacy letter is a loving document, book, or recording that translates your personal and family stories into life lessons that can inform loved ones.
Join us and learn about writing a memoir or legacy letter presented by Jennifer Nelson, a Bucks County writer and teacher for Older Americans Month. Bring pen and paper for taking notes as Jennifer gets you started on your journey.
This program fulfills the Basic and Information literacies of PaLA's PA Forward Gold Star program. There will be no salespeople present, no forms to complete, and the presenter will not receive a list of program attendees.
