Join the read-aloud revolution this summer at this new book club. Reading together with older children can lead to interesting questions and discussions, as well as help develop their literacy skills, including vocabulary and comprehension! Also, did we mention it’s FUN and brings families together?

Each meeting will feature discussion of the book and activities related to what we read that month. Meet new friends and read books? It’s a win-win!

In July we will discuss The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Copies are available to check out at the reference desk after registration.

Both titles are recommended for elementary school-aged children grades 2 and up but can be enjoyed by younger readers when read aloud. The Wild Robot does depict some realistic natural survival situtations and violence that might not be appropriate for the youngest readers.
