Taking Shade: Silhouettes & Colonial Portraiture

Join us as Kimberly Praria, the Executive Director of Historic Fallsington, shares the history of silhouette portraiture, popular in the late-eighteenth and early nineteenth century as an inexpensive method of capturing a person's likeness compared to painted portraits. Praria will also instruct participants in capturing their own silhouette likeness. The workshop is limited to 15 registrants due to instruction and supplies.

This program fulfills the Civic and Social literacy of PaLA's PA Forward Gold Star program. There will be no salespeople present, no forms to complete, and the presenter will not receive a list of program attendees.
