Resigned and frustrated with her verbally abusive husband, a woman seduces an insurance salesman into a scheme to murder her husband, making it look accidental, in order to collect his life insurance policy. This classic film noir stars Barbara Stanwyck, Fred MacMurray, and Edward G. Robinson.
