NRC: Wisdom in the Room: Selecting and Retaining Non-profit Board Members

The governing board of a non-profit should be the largest pool of advocacy in accomplishing its mission.  Selecting/recruiting the right board members has a tremendous impact on the non-profit’s continued success.

In this talk, we will:

  • explore the types of governance structures
  • discuss processes for selecting and retaining board members for your non-profit
  • explain the differences between management and governance of your non-profit
  • explore ways to manage conflict and competing ideas
