The Friends of the Yardley-Makefield Library are back this fall with "When You're Smiling! The Fun and the Funny in Popular Song" presented by Fred Miller.

If "laughter is the best medicine," then funny songs are indispensable for our health. In American popular song we have great lyricists and comedic interpreters to thank for some of the most life-enhancing stimulants available to humankind. Join us to learn about a golden past when well-paid composers, lyricists, and entertainers brought smiles, laughter, humor, and wit.
