Local Author Talk: Pat Mervine

Pat Mervine returns to our library with her newest book, Slavery, Friends, and Freedom in Bucks County, which she co-wrote with Joseph Coleman.

This book explores the African American journey in our county from the 1600s through the Civil War, through the stories of freedom seekers, abolitionists, and participants in the Underground Railroad.  Pat will also offer an update on the construction of the African American Museum of Bucks County.  Pat will have copies of her book available for purchase for $30 each. All proceeds go to the AAMBC Capital Campaign.

We are very excited to welcome Pat back to our library!  Her fantastic talk in our library in August, 2024, based on her prior book, Boone Farm: Its People and Place in Middletown History, was enjoyed by everyone who attended.

Please register, so that we can prepare the room.
