Kids Creative Writing Workshop with Stefanie Smith
How to Create Characters, Worlds and Stories of Wonder
A 3-part workshop series: Saturdays March 15, 22 and 29 from 1-2pm
Join us at the Free Library of New Hope & Solebury for a writing workshop for kids in grades 3 through 5 (8- to 11-year-olds) interested in writing their own books. This workshop will walk students through creating characters, backgrounds and environments, and story plots that can be used for their own stories. We’ll cover popular characters and books students are already reading, and complete exercises to get their creative juices flowing. By the end of the workshop, students will have enough material to write their own book!
March 15: Day 1; Characters Welcome
March 22: Day 2; Creating a Whole New World
March 29: Day 3; Creating a Compelling Story
Registrants are encouraged to bring a notebook or a tablet/computer to write down their stories, and a few of their favorite books for reference.
Registration strongly preferred for this event.
