Who were your female ancestors and how do you find information about them? Many women had at least two names and you will not always find the same types of records for them that you find for your male ancestors. We will look at information that can help you find out more about the women in your family and how you can use general family records as well as things like census records, marriage records, and newspapers to get to know your female family members and, through them, their side of the family.
