Some of the best known piano trio recordings of all time, Vince Guaraldi's "Peanuts" soundtracks made him one of the most famous pianists of the 20th century. However, the breadth and quality of his work expands far beyond Charlie Brown, Linus, and Lucy. 

This program explores the life and music of Guaraldi, touching on:

• His original compositions

• The "Peanuts" soundtracks and their history

• His deep affinity for bossa nova

• What led to the "Peanuts" music and where it led him
