To celebrate the country's 250th anniversary, the library is hosting a series titled America250PA focusing on local history. Did you know that it took more than 70 years of struggle for women to gain the right to vote?  Do you know about the Pennsylvanians who participated in the women's suffrage movement?  Do you know the role played by Black women in this fight?  Join an entertaining and informative presentation by the League of Women Voters of Bucks County and learn the fascinating history of the Forgotten Heroes who fought and won the right for women to vote.

Sandy Kerr of the League of Women Voters of Bucks County will present Forgotten Heroes: Women and Their Fight for the Right to Vote, an informative and entertaining look at the 72-year-long fight for women’s suffrage, inspired by the centennial anniversaries of the ratification of the 19th Amendment and the founding of the League of Women Voters.

There will be no salespeople present, no forms to complete, and the presenter will not receive a list of program attendees.

This program fulfills the Civic and Social Literacy for PaLA's PA Forward Gold Star program.
