A Fast, Fun Look at Philadelphia's Awesome Art & Sculpture with Jim Murphy

Come see a fast-moving presentation about the extraordinary art and sculpture available to us in Philadelphia. From the Ben Franklin Parkway to center city and South Philadelphia … Jim takes us through local art museums and city streets filled with spectacular art. He also reveals why we have such an abundance of public art in Philadelphia.

Presenter: Jim Murphy is an amateur historian, certified tour guide and late-in-life author. His first book ever, "Real Philly History, Real Fast,” was published by Temple University Press June 18, 2021 while he was in his upper 70s. Jim puts out a monthly e-newsletter, has written and narrated many Philly Phun Phacts with WHYY FM’s John Weber, and does frequent tours and presentations to libraries, community organizations, historical societies and high-rise condos.

Fast Facts: Jim’s book frequently still hits Amazon’s Best Sellers’ List of Philly travel books, which means it has amazing staying power. It was first published June 17, 2021. And Jim will do tours for one or two people, or as many as 50.
