Museum of Indian Culture presents "Woodland Life Skills"

Event box

Brought to you by the Friends of the Doylestown Library: Life in our area was very different 500 years ago. The Woodland Life Skills Program presented by the Museum of Indian Culture introduces Lenape culture as it was before the arrival of the Europeans. Through the interactive presentation, explore how the Lenape utilized the resources and seasonal changes in the eastern woodlands in their housing, clothing, food, social structure, and education. Integrating the patterns of the natural world in their culture allowed the Lenape to not only survive but thrive in an environment we might find hostile today.
