Summer Sketchbook Club with Robin Tomlinson
Free Library of New Hope & Solebury
Four Saturdays at 10:30am: 7/11, 7/18, 7/25, 8/1

Sketching is like journaling, something that can and should become a regular practice - even for kids! Join artist Robin Tomlinson for Summer Sketchbook Club at the Library! A four part workshop series, kids will have time in between meetings to work on their sketches and get used to the practice on their own at home. Then after 4 weekly meetings, attending young artists will be released into the wild, ready to keep sketching and make the practice their own! PLEASE NOTE: Registration is required for this program!

Summer Sketchbook Club Schedule:

  • July 11, 1st Session: Make it yours - Using the sticker paper and markers, attendees will customize the cover of their sketchbooks.

  • July 18, 2nd Session: Shapes and Shading - We'll start sketching animals!

  • July 25, 3rd Session: Create Your Own Creatures - Using our imaginations, let's create and draw fun and whimsical creatures.

  • August 1, 4th Session: Backgrounds & Worlds - We will start sketching out the worlds and backdrops that our characters live in.  Attendees will also go home with a worksheet of inspiration to keep the kids sketching at home...FOREVER!

Summer Reading at the Free Library of New Hope & Solebury is made possible by generous grants from the Haley Foundation, New Hope Helping, and the Friends of the Free Library of New Hope & Solebury. Thank you for your support!
