SUMMARY:Genealogy: Introduction to FamilySearch
DESCRIPTION:Learn about FamilySearch\, a free database accessible at the
library\, in this one-hour beginner class. The Free Library of Northampton
Township is an Affiliate FamilySearch Library that offers additional access
to the database than you would at home.\n\nWe'll learn about the available
records on FamilySearch\, how to search for ancestors\, examine search
results\, use the different record collections\, and where to find records
not available on FamilySearch. This is a basic\, introductory group class
held in the Computer Lab. Space is limited to 12\, so register today.\n\nIf
you'd like help with only a personal inquiry\, please do not sign up here
and email Free Library of Northampton Township's Archivist for assistance
instead at archivist@nhtwp.org or call 215.357.3050\, ext. 114.\n\nThere
will be no salespeople present\, no forms to complete\, and the presenter
will not receive a list of program attendees.\n\nThis program fulfills the
Information Literacy for PaLA's PA Forward Gold Star program. \n\n
