Cursive & Creative Fonts: A Lettering Arts Class for Kids
Four Mondays, 4-5pm: 10/19-11/9
Free Library of New Hope & Solebury

This four-week hand lettering class with Kristina D'Amico introduces young artists to the fun of drawing and designing letters in creative ways. Students will reimagine a favorite letter, explore how their names can take on different moods and personalities, and learn simple shadowing techniques that make words look three-dimensional.

In the final class, students will get a playful introduction to calligraphy and brush lettering, experimenting with thick and thin strokes and expressive line work. Designed for ages 8–12, the class focuses on creativity, experimentation, and developing confidence with lettering rather than perfect handwriting. Registration is required for this program!

This program at the Free Library of New Hope & Solebury is made possible by generous grants from the Haley Foundation and the Friends of the Free Library of New Hope & Solebury. Thank you for your support!
