True Crime in Bucks County

Event box

Join Annie Halliday, Director of Library and Archives at the Mercer Museum, and step into the darker side of history with a 45-minute lecture that delves into archival and museum objects connected to true crime stories from Bucks County. Join us as we explore gripping cases such as the 1831 Mina-Chapman murder and the chilling 1893 Rightly murders. Through original items from the Mercer Museum Library’s collection — including investigation clues, images of suspects, and tales of attempted jail breaks — you’ll uncover how these historic crimes captured the public’s imagination.
