One Community, One Book (Perkasie) - Earth Day celebration
Honey bees get all the press, but the fascinating story of North America’s native bees – an endangered species essential to our ecosystems and food supplies – is just as crucial. Community members are encouraged to buzz along to the Perkasie Branch Library to check out a copy of “Our Native Bees: North America’s Endangered Pollinators and the Fight to Save Them” by Paige Embry before joining any of the Borough’s free Earth Day events.
Kids wishing to join the fun can pick up “Bee: A Peek-Through Picture Book” by Britta Teckentrup or “You Wouldn’t Want to Live Without Bees!” by Alex Woolf from the Perkasie Branch Library then join in any of these free events.
