Tai Chi is safe and easy to follow for beginners and all ages and fitness levels. Offering a wide range of physical, mental and emotional benefits, this gentle form of exercise, especially suitable for older adults who otherwise may not exercise. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity, inner peace and tranquility through gentle, flowing movements performed in a slow, focused manner accompanied by deep breathing.

Improved muscle tone, co-ordination, balance and good posture, are benefits of Tai Chi. Research also suggests that Tai Chi reduces falls in the elderly. It is considered and ideal form of exercise for people with either rheumatoid or osteoarthritis, as well as offering a wide range of other physical and emotional benefits. Participants leave class with increased levels of relaxation, calmness and confidence.
