Why try meditation? Stress negatively impacts our immune system and   meditation has been shown to reduce stress, increase focus, and promote   calmness. Studies show that meditating increases the brain’s alpha waves   (associated with relaxation) and decreases anxiety and depression. Through its   physiological effects, meditation has been found to effectively counter heart disease, chronic pain and other conditions.

In Airmid meditation classes, you will experience a variety of teachers and meditation techniques to help guide and activate your relaxation response.  We begin with focused breath work to help clear away the mind’s chatter and relax our body. Guided visualization then helps bring us to a state of deep relaxation to enhance your body’s ability to heal itself.

Negative automatic thoughts will seem easier to let go of and promote greater enjoyment of the present moment. You will leave with an awareness of acceptance, self-love and gratitude; feeling peaceful, grounded and calm.
