Stories, songs, and fun! This program is done virtually and will be posted on our Facebook page each week. We have linked optional, fun coloring pages or games that can be printed at home or at the library to keep the discussion going.

Story times help develop early literacy skills and practices in young children. During each of our story times, we focus and point out the skills and pratices that are important for children when they start reading and attending school. The 6 early literacy skills are print awareness, print motivation, phonological awareness, narrative skills, vocabulary and letter recognition. The 5 early literacy practices are singing, talking, playing, reading and writing.
