Get your science on in this monthly program geared for children in grades K-3. We’ll introduce a scientific topic or principal through books, demonstrations, and a hands-on activity.

January: Aurora Borealis

Kit Includes:Black paper, chalk, cotton balls, scrap paper

February: Arctic Animals

Kit Includes: White crayons, food dye, pipette, shortening, 1 piece of cling wrap or a vinyl glove

Patons must provide cold water or ice water

March: Engineering Grab Bag

Kit Includes: Index Cards, straws, string, cups, paper clips, popsicle sticks, rubber bands, pom poms

The assignment will be emailed to all registrants ahead of time

April: It's Electric [Circuits]

Kit Includes: Copper tape, coin cell battery, cardstock paper, LED light

Why come?... Through hands-on science activities children will learn ways to think critically and engage with scientific concepts and ideas in new ways. We utilize the 6 scientific processes (observation, question, hypothesis, test, retest, and reflection).
