John A. McCabe, Bucks County resident and a lifelong writer in all genres, is an active member of the Writers Guild at the Pearl S. Buck Writing Center. Join us as we explore his story collections. Tracks Through Our Lives, published by The Pearl S. Buck Writing Center Press in 2019 and scheduled to be re-released in 2021, tells tales of remarkable characters and their bold friendships. Set along the route of the Philadelphia “El”, and subways, the stories accentuate the bonds of people in cities with transit systems anywhere in the world. He will be continuing the journey of Tracks with two sequels traveling farther into those urban lives on mass transit.  McCabe is currently writing a pandemic play, Irrevocable. His soon-to-be released novel, The Girl in Japan: A Young Soldier’s Story, centers on his studies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and explores the complex relationship between American and Japanese lovers, both survivors of nuclear destruction.
