PA CareerLink of Bucks County is doing a variety of virtual educational sessions throughout the month of March. To sign up for one or all of the listed events, follow these directions provided by PA CareerLink of Bucks County. 

Mini Workshop - ATS (Application Tracking System): 9:00AM - 9:30AM

Develop an understanding of how to navigate today’s application process. Workshop includes simulation of Application Tracking System

Mini Workshop - Virtual Resume Revival: 9:30AM - 10:00AM

Create an effective resume or improve the one you already have. Review different resume formats and learn the advantages of each. In this workshop you will see live templates and will be emailed both versions immediately after the workshop is complete. This is a free workshop and open to the public, registration is required!

General/WIOA Orientation: 10:00AM - 11:00AM

What is WIOA?: The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Program is federally funded and designed to assist dislocated workers or financially eligible individuals with intensive job search and/or training services. To participate in WIOA services you must meet eligibility and program requirements.

 Excel II:  10:00AM - 12:00PM

Must have taken Excel I. Learn and perform: commonly used formulas; continue copy and fill series; insert and modify comments; filter and storing; database essentials; perform subtotals; create and modify charts. 

Computers Basics I & II and Open Lab: 1:30PM - 2:30PM

I : Teaches basic computer skills, including copy, cut, paste and Windows PC navigation. Includes basics of uploading a resume online. 

II : Learn about identifying operating systems running a computer, what an IP address is and how to identify it, what a network is, more on using the internet, the cloud, internet safety, finding downloads on a computer, and identifying the devices connected to a computer. 

Open Lab: Use the computer for job search activities; get assistance with learning the computer; take a tutorial or practice Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Staff available for questions and assistance.
