Appalachian Mountain Music Concert

Concert of Appalachian Mountain Music Wednesday August 25, 2021 6:30-7:30

Fiddlesticks is an old time southern Appalachian music band that plays and sings all over the Delaware Valley and beyond. This type of music is typified by a rhythmic style of fiddle playing and claw-hammer style of banjo. They play and tunes and songs that bring you back to the simplicity, joys and sorrows of another time. This kind of music is from remote regions where Scots/Irish and English settled, mixed with African and Native American music, it is a uniquely American sound with a sense of history.

The fiddle player/singer Nancy Shill is a former resident of Wrightstown. Dick Devore “frails” on the banjo, plays the autoharp and sings. Greg Meyers plays guitar and sings. He also plays fiddle, mandolin and dulcimer. Carol Behrens plays bass and pulls the whole sound together. Come out and enjoy this lively music event!

To register, please visit: www.buckslib.org and then click on Events and Village Library of Wrightstown. Find the event you are interested in on the calendar and click on it. You will then be prompted to complete the registration for the library.

If the registrations are FULL, please put your name on the wait list. As long as the weather cooperates and we can get the performance in outside, it doesn't matter how many people attend. The more, the merrier!  It is only if I need to move the performance inside that I will need to limit attendees to 25.

*Patrons will be required to mask up inside.
