Henry Chapman Mercer: A Legacy Built in Concrete

Online

You’re invited to learn more about Bucks County native son Henry Chapman Mercer during the live virtual event, Henry Chapman Mercer: A Legacy Built in Concrete at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 with Karina Kowalski, Education Coordinator of the Mercer Museum. During this free 60-minute multimedia event via ZOOM, you will see film clips, historic archives and modern-day images of Mercer’s poured concrete castle, learn about Mercer’s architectural, archaeology and artistic endeavors, and much, much more. This event is a great introduction to one of Bucks County’s premiere cultural attractions and Smithsonian affiliate located in nearby Doylestown, PA. Furthermore, local history enthusiasts and program participants will see this as an occasion to ask their questions about the Mercer Museum, its founder, and a bonfire once lit atop Fonthill in celebration. Registration for this event is required. Register below, or by calling the Grundy Library at 215.788.7891. Did you know that the Grundy Library offers a museum pass to the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle? View the Grundy Library Museum Pass program at https://www.grundylibrary.org/mp and all the passes available with your Grundy Library Card.
