Nearly 1 in 4 active duty members showed signs of a mental health condition; however, the conditions do not simply fade away after completing the assignment (NAMI, 2014). Post-duty, our service members may struggle transitioning back to civilian life, coping with traumatic experiences, and getting past the stigma associates with disclosing the need for mental health support. Join us to discuss some of the primary mental health concerns one may experience as a current or prior service member and local resources to help both the service member and their support system.
