Burlington Island, In Your Backyard
The Grundy Museum will host Judy Gaunt and Dawn and Jim McCreary from Friends of Burlington Island on the River Park Lawn, Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 11:30am – 1:00pm. Get an up close and personal look at the Island seated on the Lawn behind the Museum as their live presentation “Burlington Island, In Your Backyard” unfolds. Rich island history drives the Friend’s mission to advocate responsibly for its opening to the public for explorative, recreational, and educational opportunities, while protecting its natural beauty.
No reservation is required for this free outdoor program. Light refreshments will be available. Guests are encouraged to pack lunches and bring lawn chairs and/or blankets to spend a day on the banks of the Delaware River beginning with the Friends’ presentation. All are invited to stay afterwards to learn about and make a wampum bracelet to take home.
The Grundy Museum is open for tours. One hour tours are available at 1:15 and 2:30PM. Registration is required. Reservations can be made through TicketLeap (www.grundymuseum.TicketLeap.com). See the Museum website (www.grundymuseum.org) or Facebook and Instagram for additional information.
